We are Hayley Dayis and Paola Suculima of MADRE MARIPOSA, a sisterhood of collaborative music for water! This project is a fusion of our ideas, talents and personal goals to create and share music for the purpose of caring for the waters within our bodies along with the waters of our planet. These songs in our first album, Madre Mariposa: Songs for Water, are a potent reminder that Water is Life. This is something we can all agree on. By healing our personal waters through music and community, we can raise awareness and momentum for the cleansing of our planet's waters.
In March 2018 we had our debut performance at the Rios Vivios Atoyac Xicome Music Festival in Puebla, MX to raise money for cleaning the polluted Atoyac River. Following this festival, we returned to our homes (Hayley in Rochester, NY and Paola in Puebla, MX) and worked on completing our album from afar (with the help of our Seattle-based musical wizard amigo Eli Abrams). Now it is time to share our work with all of you!
Our mission is to join the Americas in a call for healing, responsibility to our planet, and care for our communities. Join us in this mission by supporting our project!
